The second Nordic Symposium

The second Nordic Symposium took place in Stockholm on the 22nd – 23rd May at Skogshem-Wijk, Lidingö. This event was sponsored by 4C Strategies, If, Sun Microsystems and Telenor.

With over 30 delegates attending over the two day programme, speakers included Maria Hollinger, Mikael Edwards, Pauline Cornwell, Jacob Wetterud, Pierre Wettergren, Bengt Wahlström, Ulf Rönndahl, Mads Ecklon and Christer Derger.

Presentations ranged from

- BCM – The importance of leadership and understanding business
- What do we do when the unexpected happens
- Market wide training & exercising

The standard of presentations was very high especially as the whole two days was presented in English.

Good networking over the two days was evident and despite a number of last minute cancellations and rearrangements, good feedback was received and some helpful comments which will be taken on board when organising the next Symposium next year in Norway.

A copy of all the presentations can be found by clicking on the links below.

We have now received and collated the feedback from the Nordic Symposium and are pleased to say that the speakers received above average ratings for both their delivery and content. The overall Symposium content and format was rated highly by attendees, with the majority of people rating it as ‘good’. This was also the case with the achievement of Symposium objectives and the delegates’ personal objectives. Finally, when asked whether the session met expectations, 88% of those who attended agreed it had done.

The following comments were made about the Symposium overall:

“A great symposium for professionals ”
“A really interesting and giving day”
“Two of the speakers talked about the importance of exercises, which was very good”
“Very interesting to hear about experiences from other companies”
“Better than expected, thank you, excellent”
“Excellent network possibilities”
“Good mixture of subjects”
